Homan’s Thrilling Path to the Final
Team Homan secured their spot in the championship match with a dramatic 6-5 extra-end victory over South Korea’s Team Eunji Gim in the semifinal. The game was a test of resilience, strategy, and precision—hallmarks of the Canadian squad’s playstyle.
With a narrow one-point lead heading into the 10th end but without the hammer, Homan delivered a crucial double takeout, forcing Gim to settle for a single point and sending the game to an extra end.
"I was pretty emotional after that. It was huge for us and huge for Canada," Homan told Curling Canada. "We wanted to make that, and I didn't know if it was going to stop falling. Thankfully, it did, and it was just a huge moment to keep our chances alive."
