After blanking the seventh and eighth ends, Dunstone delivered a crucial double in the ninth end with the hammer, sealing the win and advancing to the championship final.

2025 Brier playoff format
The top three teams from each pool will earn playoff berths.
The first-place teams from each pool will face the second-place teams from the opposite pools.
The winners of those matchups will advance to the next round, and the losers will drop down to face the third-place teams.
Playoff games will continue until the field is cut down to four teams.
The semifinal and final games will then be played on Sunday, March 9, in order to determine a champion.
