The stage is set for one of the biggest events in the para hockey calendar. The 2025 Para Hockey Cup returns from November 30 to December 6, 2025, hosted at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Featuring four powerhouse nations — the United States, Canada, Czechia, and China — this year's tournament promises elite competition, emotional storylines, and crucial preparation ahead of the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Milan.
🇺🇸 Team USA: Momentum and Medal Ambitions
The U.S. National Sled Team enters Dawson Creek riding a wave of confidence after their strong showing at the IPH Cup in October.
“We’re excited for the great competition that the Para Hockey Cup provides each year,” said head coach David Hoff, adding that the team aims to build on their momentum as the Paralympics draw closer.
Team USA opens its tournament campaign against Czechia on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. MST (8 p.m. ET). Their preliminary schedule includes two more heavyweight matchups:
• Dec. 1 vs. China – 7 p.m. MST (9 p.m. ET)
• Dec. 3 vs. Canada – 7 p.m. MST (9 p.m. ET)
With a mix of seasoned veterans and rising talent, the American squad is focused on extending its dominance and defending its status as a global para hockey powerhouse.
🇨🇦 Team Canada: A Championship Contender on Home Ice
Hockey Canada has unveiled its 18-player roster for the 2025 Para Cup, all of whom bring championship pedigree and experience. The team includes:
3 goaltenders
5 defencemen
10 forwards
This group, selected by head coach Boris Rybalka and his staff, features an impressive track record. All 18 players earned silver at the 2025 International Para Hockey Cup, and 16 were gold medalists at the 2024 World Para Hockey Championship.
“This is a key milestone in our preparation for the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games,” Rybalka said. “Dawson Creek will be an incredible host as we continue to build our culture and compete against three strong countries.”
